President’s Club @ MiQ: Lindsay Miller 2023

President’s Club is the pioneer employee recognition program for sales superstars in the MiQ Canadian market. We are excited to recognize and celebrate those who have gone above and beyond to achieve great results.

 

The programmatic landscape in Canada is truly unique. What led to your career in sales and choosing MiQ Canada?

Having spent almost two decades in print media, I was excited to branch out in the exciting world of programmatic advertising. Two things that were important to me as a working mom were security & wellness. I wanted to work for MiQ as I knew they were a leader in the programmatic space, as well as puts real investment into ensuring staff wellbeing.

You are being recognized for outstanding sales achievements in 2023, what key moments were defining points of success for you?

The key moment that was a defining point of success this year was having a hand in the pitch that secured the largest single IO in the Canadian office history! It really highlighted the great things MiQ can put on the table when we work together as a team – collaborating with sales, product, solutions, trading and the data scientist – we all bring different pieces of the puzzle that build an amazing experience and add real value to clients.

Sales in tech has undergone several major shifts in recent years, what are some major challenges you’ve had to overcome?

With many players in the tech space, differentiating MiQ from the rest of the pack is key – from ensuring we bring value to our clients with performance, insights and services we provide;  to being the partner that clients are truly excited to collaborate with, as well as trust.

What is your philosophy toward achieving your goals?

One step at a time – stay focused it will all come together! When you breakdown goals into manageable steps, it provides a clear roadmap and helps to measure success along the way. This enables you to adapt and adjust plans as needed without getting overwhelmed by achieving end goal.

On a lighter note, how do you spend your time when you’re not busy breaking sales records?

In the warmer seasons, my time is spent camping with the family and being outdoors. When too cold to be outdoors, I’ve recently taken up painting, something I learned I was pretty good at when attending an MiQ team building event – who knew?!
